Liverpool Jazz Club was established as a non-profit organisation by David Fishel in September 2003.


From September 1, 2003 to March 12, 2007 we held Monday evening sessions at
Metro in Victoria Street, Liverpool.

We then played four more sessions at
Lennons Bar in Mathew Street.

Following two sessions at the
Eleanor Rigby Hotel in Stanley Street on July 4 and July 11, 2008, we moved to Kingdom in Harrington Street in September 2008. We held our final session there on February 11, 2009.

On June 27, 2013 we relaunched Liverpool Jazz Club at
The Liner Hotel, Liverpool 3 and played fortnightly sessions there for one year.

On 1 October 2014 we moved to the
Everyman Theatre and held sessions there first and third Wednesdays of each month until December 19th, 2018.

We held our first session at
The Pen Factory, 13 Hope Street on Wednesday 6th February, 2019. We played there on the first Wednesday of each month (until 4th March 2020).

We held our first session at
Grand Central Hall, 35 Renshaw Street on Wednesday 14th February, 2019. We played there every Thursday evening from 7pm and every Sunday from 5pm until 28th April, 2019.

We held our first session at
Champagne & Fromage, 37 Victoria Street, L1 6BQ on May 31st, 2019. We played there on the last Friday of each month.

We played at
The Tavern, 288 Upton Lane, Widnes, WA8 9AF on the last Sunday of each month until the pandemic.

We restarted our sessions at
The Pen Factory on 6 June 2021 (post pandemic) and hold sessions there on the first Wednesday of each month.
