Liverpool Jazz Club

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!

History

history

Liverpool Jazz Club was established as a non-profit organisation by David Fishel in September 2003.

From September 1, 2003 to March 12, 2007 we held Monday evening sessions at
Metro in Victoria Street, Liverpool.

We then played four more sessions at
Lennons Bar in Mathew Street.

Following two sessions at the
Eleanor Rigby Hotel in Stanley Street on July 4 and July 11, 2008, we moved to Kingdom in Harrington Street in September 2008. We held our final session there on February 11, 2009.

On June 27, 2013 we relaunched Liverpool Jazz Club at
The Liner Hotel, Liverpool 3 and played fortnightly sessions there for one year.

On 1 October 2014 we moved to the
Everyman Theatre and held sessions there first and third Wednesdays of each month until December 19th, 2018.

Our first session at
The Pen Factory, 13 Hope Street was on Wednesday 6th February, 2019. It was an incredible night, full house – with people actually turned away at the door! We'll play there on the first Wednesday of each month.

Our first session at
Grand Central Hall, 35 Renshaw Street was on Wednesday 14th February, 2019. We'll play there every Thursday evening (from 8pm) and every Sunday evening (from 5pm).
